In Memoriam

Brian Williams' Memorial took place on June 1, 2002, at St. Johns Presbyterian Church on College Avenue in Berkeley. The ceremony, incorporating several rituals that Brian requested, began at 1 p.m. Click here to see the Program.

After the ceremony, a grand party featured handsome models in Brian's fantastic costumes - scroll down to see the pictures.

Three fellows volunteered to wear Brian's costumes: Michael Sexton (also our photographer) wore the Charioteer, Jamie Lindsay wore Pan, and Niles Dolbeare wore the Venetian leathers. Jesse Obert, Brian's nephew, wore Brian's Top Hat and Tails.

Please feel free to email Brian's sister Genny Obert anytime, about Brian's artwork, this website, or anything else.

While the official Memorial is now over, we still have several bills to pay, so if you are feeling so inclined, you are welcome to send donations to:

Brian Williams Memorial Fund
c/o Genny Obert
301 Encinal Street
Santa Cruz, CA, 95060 USA

Should you all be so generous as to donate more money than we need, any remaining funds will be donated to Brian's favorite charities.

Another way to contribute is to buy some of Brian's artwork. We should have some available for sale in October 2002 - we'll be hosting a Brian Booth at the San Francisco Bay Area Tarot Symposium. Check back later for more information on that event and other venues for Brian's artwork.

Thank you all for your love and kindness for Brian, his family and his many communities. Back to the Top of this page
